The Importance of Cannabinoids

Cannabinoids found in plants are called phytocannabinoids, and those found in the cannabis plant account for most of its benefits. They are naturally occurring, with CBD (short for cannabidiol) making up about 40% of plant resin extract.  Our human body also produces cannabinoids, called endocannabinoids, which interact with the body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS) to restore chemical balance.

Our ECS is a complex cell-signaling system, like the main switchboard within our bodies, that influences cardiovascular, nervous, and endocrine systems. The cannabinoids from the hemp plant work to stimulate our ECS and enhance our overall quality of life.
