The Importance of Cannabinoids
Cannabinoids found in plants are called phytocannabinoids, and those found in the cannabis plant account for most of its benefits. They are naturally occurring, with CBD (short for cannabidiol) making up about 40% of plant resin extract. Our human body also produces cannabinoids, called endocannabinoids, which interact with the body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS) to restore chemical balance.
Our ECS is a complex cell-signaling system, like a main switchboard within our bodies, that influences cardiovascular, nervous, and endocrine systems, along with impacting our skin conditions, appetite, sleep patterns and immunity. The cannabinoids from the help plant work to stimulate our ECS and enhance our overall quality of life.
